What is "ISO"...

The acronym-like term "ISO" stands for the International Organization for Standardization, based in Geneva, Switzerland . Founded in 1947 for the purpose of advancing standardization around the world, this non-governmental organization is now comprised of over 130 member countries.

Each country is represented by its respective national standards body and participates in developing standards to facilitate trade of goods and services in the global marketplace. The standards developed apply not only to economic related activities but also cover the related technology and science involved in these pursuits.

ISO 9001 at ARI-Jackson...

On September 16,1999 ARI-Jackson Manufacturing received ISO-9002 certification through Underwriters Laboratories. In accordance with the terms of registration, the Jackson facility participates in continuous assessment audits, semi-annually, with the registrar. In addition to the third party audits, trained internal auditors conduct internal system audits. The rigid audit system verifies the quality systems and measures its effectiveness.

ARI-Jackson Manufacturing on September 29, 2003, successfully completed the transition audit to the new revision of the ISO-9000 series of standards, ISO-9001:2000.
